Programmes and projects are about delivering change and will often involve complexity, risk and the need to manage different stakeholder interests.
The Scottish Public Finance Manual sets out the conditions that must be followed in delivering major investment programme and projects and provides good practice for all other types of programmes and projects.
Regardless of their scale of their subject matter all Scottish Government programmes and projects must adhere to the Programme and Project Management Principles.
The PPM-CoE provides a focal point for programme and project management within the Scottish Government and:
- supports improvement of programme and project management capabilities
- manages and supports the delivery of the independent programme and project assurance framework
- encourages and supports the sharing of lessons learned from programme and project delivery
